Waterford Camera Club was founded in 1972. We are affiliated to the Southern Association of Camera Clubs (SACC) and also to the national body the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF). We have approximately 60 members and welcome new members at anytime. The Teachers' Centre, Newtown Road, Waterford. Directly across the road from De La Salle College. every fortnight on Monday evenings. Please check the calendar page for details of dates or use the ‘Contact Us’ link. We also have outings at weekends and evenings.
Members are a mix of all skill levels from beginner to advanced and use all types of equipment from point and shoots to top of the range DSLRs, whatever your ability and equipment you are most welcome!
Meetings generally begin at 7.15pm with novice/intermediate tutorials followed by the main meeting for all members at 8pm. Fees are €5 per evening and annual membership €30 annually.
Waterford Camera Club are flying high on a winning streak both regionally and nationally for the Photographic year 2014-15. We won the best Black and White
Panel at the National Shield from over 25 clubs and came 2nd overall. We also won the Suir Valley Challenge in December 2015 and at individual level our members recently swept the boards both regionally and Nationally at the annual Nature Photographic Competition. Waterford Camera Club is a club on an upward trajectory with high ambitions mixed with a friendly and social atmosphere and a willingness to help all our new and existing members to improve and most of all ENJOY their photography..If you have an interest or are a member of another club either nationally or internationally, please come along and join us for an evening you will be made very welcome!
